Cheer Advisor
Lauren has a wonderful husband, a three-year-old son and newborn daughter at home! She was born and raised in Santa Clarita and originally trained as a competitive gymnast. She attended Hart High School, where she really learned the sport of cheerleading with her teams during her four years as captain. After high school, she attended Cal Poly, SLO for two years, and then graduated from Utah State University with a degree in Communication. While in college, she cheered at Cal Poly and also with the Universal Cheerleaders Association Staff. Over the past 6 years of teaching math in the district, Lauren has had the opportunity to coach and advise many teams in our valley, and has already led some to national titles!
In 2010-2011, her first year with Saugus Cheer, Lauren was able share her 18 years of cheerleading experience with the girls. Under her leadership, the Competition Squad brought home a 1st Place trophy at Best of the West. Lauren has a lot of experience with competitive cheerleading and with the right training and technique, believes it to be a sport. Lauren plans to train the girls both physically and mentally for another exciting season!! Go Centurions!

What was the funniest thing that happened during last year's cheer season (2010-2011)?
I don't know if there's really a "funniest" memory, but sharing details of being pregnant with the
girls was for sure hilarious!
Who or What inspires you and why?
Personally, I am inspired by my mother. She is the most generous, loving person I know.
Cheer-wise, I am always so inspired by teams where every member cares to be amazing and does
everything they can to get there!
What's your best/most embarrassing memory of high school and why?
One of my best memories of high school is winning 5th place at Nationals in Florida with my
team my Senior year. :)
What was your favorite pet you had as a child and why?
My favorite pets are probably my current ones - Farley, my golden retriever and Bella, my toy fox
terrier!
