Head Coach & Advisor:
Coach Candace has 18 years of cheerleading experience with cheerleading and coaching combined. She found a love and passion for the sport of cheerleading while she competed in both all star and high school cheer. She is married to her high school sweetheart and is a mom to twin boys. While coaching, advising, and being a full time mom, she is also currently finishing up her degree in Kinesiology. This is her seventh year coaching at Saugus High School, where she has lead the teams to win multiple national titles. She is proud to be a part of the Saugus Cheer program and is excited to see the amazing things the year will bring.
Glenna has been married to her high school sweetheart for over 22 years and they have 3 teenage children all actively involved in athletics. She comes to us with 21 years of cheer experience between cheering, competing, coaching, parenting, and advising. Glenna’s interest in coaching was sparked in her junior year of high school when she was asked to help train a local private junior high cheer squad. After graduating from Village Christian HS she attended Fresno State University and participated on the dance team there, although cheer remained her passion. Glenna finished up college at CSUN earning her BS in Family Consumer Sciences all while landing her first High School Head Advisor/coach position at Hart High School. From there she went on to teach full time and coach the award winning cheer team at her alma mater. Glenna has spent the last 13 years actively involved in the lives of her own children. She not only enjoys coaching cheer, Glenna loves health & fitness and is eager to share her knowledge enabling these young athletes to obtain the next level within their sport. She is super excited to be a part of the Saugus High School Cheer competition coaching staff and looks forward to helping shape this team into well rounded competitors and individuals.
As a Saugus High alumni with 7 years of cheer experience, this is Chloe’s 2nd year coaching Saugus Cheer! Having a love and passion for the sport, Chloe began her cheerleading career as a Spartan Cheerleader and went onto cheer for Saugus all 4 years as captain. Winning a national title as an athlete in 2016 and as a coach in 2019 was extremely rewarding! In her time away from cheer, Chloe earned her Associates’ degree from College of the Canyons and is now studying Elementary Education as a Liberal Studies major at California State University, Northridge. Chloe also works as a Child Development Program Counselor at Emblem Elementary School. Her aspiration to teach and coach the upcoming generation brings her joy!
