The Saugus Varsity Competition Team received a runner up finish in the inaugural CIF Championships at Colony High School in Ontario on Saturday, January 12th. This was the first year that competitive cheer leading was recognized as a CIF sport.

Saugus competed in the top division, 1AA and came second to Mater Dei High School.
